About Us

Ancilla Systems Incorporated (ASI) is an internal service organization for Poor Handmaid of Jesus Christ ministries located in Indiana and Illinois. ASI provides financial, human resources and benefit administration, risk & insurance, project, property and facilities management, information technology and web design as well as development services for various Poor Handmaid of Jesus Christ ministries.

ASI is located in Hobart, IN, and serves Poor Handmaid ministries so that PHJC ministries can live out their missions of serving those in need, especially the poor and underserved who live in areas where the Poor Handmaids have long been committed.

ASI includes the Nazareth Home, a licensed foster home located in East Chicago, Indiana. Nazareth Home provides care for infants and children up to age six who may be medically compromised and are referred to Nazareth Home by the Indiana Department of Child Services – Lake County. The licensed foster mother, staff and volunteers tend to the needs of the children on a 24 x 7 basis. The State of Indiana provides a small daily stipend for the children who reside at Nazareth Home.

Ancilla Systems is the Corporate Member for the individually incorporated Linden Houses located in Chicago, Illinois; Gary, Hobart and Mishawaka, Indiana. The Linden Houses are government-assisted independent living centers for seniors in those communities. Seniors enjoy a comfortable, safe, affordable place to live.

Ancilla Systems is also the Corporate Member for Sojourner Truth House, Inc., a day center in Gary, Indiana for homeless women and children.
