JOB TITLE: Donor Relations Coordinator (full-time-Donaldson)

DEPARTMENT: Development Services

REPORTS TO: Director of Development

JOB SUMMARY:

Ancilla Systems is a service ministry sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, an international congregation of apostolic women religious within the Roman Catholic Church. The Development Services Department of Ancilla Systems serves ministries of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ by ensuring effective identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors.

The Donor Relations Coordinator is responsible for accurate and timely gift and constituent data entry into Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge (RE) and Sphere databases, and other development systems. In addition, she or he is responsible for processing all gift acknowledgements in a timely manner and in such a way that donors are delighted by their correspondence, assisting with donor communications such as annual reports, interacting with donors, and supporting team members in fundraising activities.

QUALIFICATION

  • Ability to work well and with a positive attitude, especially under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in bookkeeping, gift processing, and/or payment posting desired.
  • Flexibility and tolerance for change.
  • High level of computer proficiency required. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) as well as knowledge of manipulating and retrieving data from standard research tools.
  • Knowledge of prospect research desired.
  • Mindset of a servant leader.
  • Proficiency in use of Raiser’s Edge and/or similar relational databases, required. Such proficiency is typically associated with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Willingness to learn and receive mentoring.
  • Curiosity about donors and why they are inclined to make charitable gifts.
  • Willingness to travel to perform assigned tasks; ability to operate a motor vehicle. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 


 

JOB TITLE: Major Gifts Officer (full-time)

DEPARTMENT: Development Services

REPORTS TO: Director of Development Operations

JOB SUMMARY:

The Major Gifts Officer will work for Ancilla Systems, a service ministry of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ (PHJC). The Poor Handmaids are an international congregation of apostolic women religious within the Roman Catholic Church.

The Major Gifts Officer will assist the Poor Handmaids and PHJC ministries with development efforts that will result in increased revenue to sustain their missions. The Major Gifts Officer identifies, cultivates and motivates donors to make major gifts to the ministry. This will include annual, planned and major gifts, as well as other special efforts that support the development function. Donor acquisition, cultivation and stewardship will be key to sustainability efforts

The Major Gifts Officer will work closely with the Director of Development Operations and Mission Integration to assure that the mission, vision and core values of the Poor Handmaids are incorporated into working with the ministries. Further, the Director will ensure the presence and continuance of a collaborative work style that is grounded in servant leadership

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree and 5-7 years fundraising experience required with demonstrated successful solicitation of five and six-figure major gifts.
  • Working knowledge of donor database program, Raiser’s Edge is required.
  • Familiar with and conversant in major types of planned giving instruments as well as knowledgeable of current trends and available resources in the planned giving field.
  • The ability to analyze data and implement strategic plans to achieve goals.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, along with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently within established guidelines, and to meet frequent deadlines.
  • Demonstrated social skills and poise.
  • Excellent written and oral communications.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • High energy level essential.
  • A demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to changes that may occur.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Social Media skills preferred.
  • Considerable knowledge of fundraising concepts, techniques, and practices; CFRE preferred.
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as position demands.

JOB TITLE: Director of Development Operations, Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ (full-time)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Development Operations will direct a comprehensive development program for the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, an international congregation of apostolic women religious within the Roman Catholic Church. With outreach from Indiana and to other parts of the world, the Poor Handmaids minister to those in need of shelter, education, health care and physical and spiritual nourishment.

The Director of Development Operations is a dynamic and creative fundraiser responsible for securing new income, developing relationships with major sponsors and working to support PHJC ministries by leading various committee relationships. You will report to the Executive Director to ensure fundraising strategies.

The Director of Development Operations is responsible for designing and proposing fundraising strategies and implementing development best practices necessary to obtain financial support for the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, needs of the Sisters, and PHJC ministries.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must embrace the mission and values of The Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.
  • 5-7 years of significant experience and leadership in development, fund raising and governance as well as proven experience in providing leadership, strategic vision and goal achievement in a team-oriented environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/ or related field
  • Must have strong project management/ organizational skills with demonstrated ability to handle multiple and diverse priorities. Strong collaborative skills and a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience with Raiser's Edge fundraising software, particularly as it relates to database reporting, is necessary.
  • A history of community involvement and the ability to establish a positive presence for the Sisters within their areas of service and ministry;
  • Excellent leadership and management skills and the ability to coordinate development and communications as a unified partnership;
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Traveling is required to perform assigned tasks; ability to operate a motor vehicle. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.

 


 

JOB TITLE: Foster Parent Aide (PRN)

6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (Shift 1)

2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. (Shift 2)

10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. (Shift 3)

REPORTS TO: Foster Mother

JOB SUMMARY: Under supervision of the Foster Mother at the Nazareth Home and according to established practices and procedures, performs basic child care and basic household care in rendering care and comfort to the children of Nazareth Home.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPR training preferred and understanding of small child development
  • Ability to read and write
  • Traveling may be required to perform assigned tasks; ability to operate a motor vehicle. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required
