JOB TITLE: Donor Relations Coordinator (full-time)

DEPARTMENT: Development Services

REPORTS TO: Director of Development Operations


Ancilla Systems is a service ministry sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, an international congregation of apostolic women religious within the Roman Catholic Church. The Development Services Department of Ancilla Systems serves ministries of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ by ensuring effective identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors.

The Donor Relations Coordinator is responsible for accurate and timely gift and constituent data entry into Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge (RE) and Sphere databases, and other development systems. In addition, she or he is responsible for processing all gift acknowledgements in a timely manner and in such a way that donors are delighted by their correspondence, assisting with donor communications such as annual reports, interacting with donors, and supporting team members in fundraising activities.


  • Ability to be well-organized and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships with a wide variety of people.
  • Ability to complete tasks with little direct supervision.
  • Ability to work well and with a positive attitude, especially under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in bookkeeping, gift processing, and/or payment posting desired.
  • Flexibility and tolerance for change.
  • High level of computer proficiency required. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) as well as knowledge of manipulating and retrieving data from standard research tools.
  • Knowledge of prospect research desired.
  • Mindset of a servant leader.
  • Proficiency in use of Raiser’s Edge and/or similar relational databases, required. Such proficiency is typically associated with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Willingness to learn and receive mentoring.
  • Curiosity about donors and why they are inclined to make charitable gifts.
  • Willingness to travel to perform assigned tasks; ability to operate a motor vehicle. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.



JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant

DEPARTMENT: Finance Administration

REPORTS TO: Controller


Accounting Manager for Ancilla Systems Incorporated. Also assists in maintaining books, records, and financial management reports of the Sojourner Truth House, PHJC Foundation, HealthVisions Midwest, St. Joseph Community Health Foundation, Ancilla College, and Ancilla Domini Sisters, Inc.


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Four to six years relevant work experience.
  • Personal computer experience required. Spreadsheet software experience a plus.
  • Ability to analyze problem situations and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadline constraints.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Traveling is required to perform assigned tasks; ability to operate a motor vehicle. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
