About Us |

Nazareth Home is a not-for-profit foster home for children who are medically compromised. The goal for the Nazareth Home is to offer the same benefit we hope all children will receive--a loving environment that will build a stable foundation for life. Nazareth Home operates with foster mothers and aides who provide a loving, caring and stable environment for the children. Nazareth Home was established in 1993 and has served more than eighty infants and children.
Nazareth Home is licensed in the state of Indiana for six children, from newborns through five years of age. Nazareth Home serves babies and children who are in some way medically compromised and who need special love and attention. These children are placed at Nazareth Home by Lake County Children and Family Services until they are either able to be re-united with their parents, adopted, or placed in a long-term foster home.
The Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ sponsor and support Nazareth Home and its children. Ancilla Systems Incorporated, a not-for-profit organization, provides administrative support to Nazareth Home. In addition, Nazareth Home has established strong ties to other area service organizations.
